Nurse Hettie Harpic - Tony Creasey.
For the past 42 years Tony has been (and still is!) a huge figure in the Haslemere Thespians’ pantos. During that time he has directed a couple of shows for us, played Buttons and the rear half of a tap dancing camel, but is perhaps best known to generations of local theatregoers for being the Dame. In between pantos Tony regularly treads the boards with the Haslemere Players. Having enjoyed numerous lead roles he readily accepts that “as you get older, your parts get smaller!” Tony is delighted that two (of his nine) grandchildren, Ivy and Rosalie, are joining him in Sleeping Beauty as part of the children’s chorus.
There are two performances of Sleeping Beauty today and once all involved have recharged their batteries, a second weekend of shows next Friday 17 – Sunday 19 January at Haslemere Hall.
