We have a number of debutants amongst the panto principals this year. One has graduated from being in plays and two have moved up from the junior chorus. But only one has made the mighty leap from being part of the band to treading the boards on stage. It’s a big Panto welcome to Richard Ashton who has forsaken his bass guitar in order to revel in the boos and hisses from the audience as he casts badness in all directions as King Rat.
Years of inhabiting the foul-smelling stench of the orchestra pit have proved to be the ideal training ground for portraying a shifty, verminous creature that is happiest lurking in the shadows so don’t miss your chance to vent your feelings at various times from Friday 13 to Saturday 21 January. Tickets are disappearing faster than a rat up a drainpipe with no more than a couple of grubby pawfuls available so make sure that you phone the Box Office on 01428 642161 or follow the link to get yours https://tickets.haslemerehall.co.uk/sales/genres/theatre/thespians-pantomime-2023
