My name is…
Zac Rasulian
I am playing…
Simon Bliss
My first stage appearance was…
Fiddler on the Roof in 2015 with the Haslemere Players playing the part of Motel. I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of this show and it began an addiction to the stage from then on.
I have been involved with the Thespians since…
A Streetcar Named Desire in 2016. I played a very minor role with the amazing cast that wowed me with the talent in the Thespians.
Favourite part (before this one)…
One of the Angels in the Haslemere Players recent production of Kinky Boots the musical. Adorned with a wig, corset and 6in heels, it was an incredibly challenging role but also the most fun I have ever had. From learning to walk in heels to plastering my face with layers of makeup, the role massively boosted my confidence on the stage and showed me that with enough work, nothing is impossible.
Most interesting place I’ve performed at…
The Royal Victoria Patriotic Building in Wandsworth. I attended drama school there for 1 year and performed our end of year show in the theatre. The drama school now no longer exists so no more shows are being performed there.
One thing you’d never guess about me…
At the age of 18 I climbed the highest mountain in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro.
About my character…
Simon Bliss is a bohemian and confident young man with an artistic flair. He does his best to take centre stage, but is often overshadowed by his mother (Judith) and ends up bickering with his Sister (Sorel). He tries his best to seek attention from women outside the Bliss family however, his learned behaviour does not make him particularly desirable.
