My name is…
Tom Parrott
I am playing…
Sandy Tyrell
My first stage appearance was…
This year’s performance of Dick Whittington as part of the ensemble – Londoner, sailor, UV shark, and Empress’s Guard. Quite the eclectic mix!
I have been involved with the Thespians since…
Auditioning for the Panto last autumn – the audition was the first time I had ever been on stage!
Favourite part (before this one)…
Earlier this year I was part of the ensemble for Around the World in 80 Days. Playing roles that ranged from Victorian Gentleman - wagering and losing to Phileas Fogg (wonderfully portrayed by Richard, aka David Bliss), to American Sea Captain, with Opium Addict and Circus Performer thrown in for good measure was great fun!
Most interesting place I’ve performed at…
I’ve sung karaoke (in Mongolian – which I can’t speak!) in a Ger during a snowstorm on the Mongolian steppe – does that count?
One thing you’d never guess about me…
I once used my shoes as pillows to stop them being stolen by dingoes whilst camping in the Australian Outback.
About my character…
Sandy Tyrell is a very polite young man who finds himself completely out of his depth with the Bliss family. Portraying Sandy’s state of being overwhelmed and out of his depth is coming rather easily to me for some reason
